Looking for a summer of exploration and fun for your child—and a little break for yourself? Spicebush Montessori’s 5-week camp blends outdoor adventures, hands-on learning, and creative play to keep kids engaged and curious.
Each week features new themes, from science experiments to art projects and nature exploration, all in a supportive, nurturing environment. While your child makes friends, discovers new interests, and creates lasting memories, you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re in a safe, enriching space. It’s a win-win: a summer full of growth for them and a little more freedom for you!

This year we will be hosting Spicebush Montessori Camp from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm for a flat fee in order to cultivate routine and pay our staff equitably.
You are welcome to arrange pick up times before 4:30 pm by communicating with teacher leaders or you may choose to keep your child at camp for the full time.
Dive into wonder with seashells, stories, and ocean discoveries! We will unearth the magic of the ocean through seashells, sensory play, and gentle marine adventures. Each day brings a new way to move, create, and explore like sea creatures do.
Campers will:

-Create ocean-inspired art
-Act out sea creature movements
-Listen to ocean sounds and storytelling
Dig deep into the earth with crystals, mud pies, and geological magic! We will dig, sort, and discover as we learn about rocks, crystals, and the soil beneath our feet. From muddy art to sparkling geodes, every activity invites curiosity and joyful mess.
Campers will:
-Wash and sort rocks and geodes by size, texture, and sparkle
-Create crystal or gemstone-inspired art
-Explore soil layers and dig in dirt trays
-Mix mud for art and sensory play
-Wash rocks and create erosion demonstrations
Follow the little ones who make a big impact--bugs, beetles, and butterfly friends! We will observe bugs up close, build bug hotels, and learn how tiny creatures help our gardens grow. With magnifying glasses in hand, we'll explore the world from a smaller point of view.
Campers will:
-Go on outdoor bug hunts with magnifiers
-Observe worms or ants in soil
-Build bug hotels or insect homes
-Explore the butterfly life cycle
Gather under the stars for stories, shadows, and sky-bound adventures! We will tell stories by pretend campfire, create constellation art, and play with light and shadow. Together we'll look up and imagine the sky as a place full of wonder.
Campers will:
-Create constellation collages and star maps
-Make shadow puppets and tell stories by (pretend) campfire
-Explore nocturnal animals like owls and bats
-Act out moon and star movements
Grow, harvest, and soak in the sun during a joyful garden celebration! We will water and harvest our summer garden while soaking in the last sunny days. With our hands in the soil and our hearts full of pride, we'll celebrate all we've helped grow.
Campers will:
-Sow seeds and tend to our garden
-Harvest herbs and veggies for simple snack prep
-Make bouquets and sun prints with harvested flowers
-Prepare snacks with child-safe tools
-Enjoy our last water play day of the season
